My objective in posting this very interesting drawing (unfortunately not mine, and I can’t find the author to give him credit) is to stress the reasons underlying the “construction” of each body type. In a strictly semantic perspective, both (as everything, even the sedentary body) are “body – building” – strategies that lead to the “construction” of a body. One (the strongman/powerlifter), however, has FORM as a consequence, a side-effect, if you want, of its FUNCTION. And that is what I wanted to stress. Praising the beauty of the first body type (the bodybuilder) is redundant: the beauty industry does that profusely and with billions of dollars. The second type deserves my humble praise. That’s it. Thanks for the mindful remarks from everybody in the previous posts in facebook, which probably sounded a bit prejudiced on my part.
